One month results…

Today feels super! It’s been about a month since I’ve had to go back on my no/super low carb diet, and I’ve felt well enough to exercise at least twice per week. It’s not as much exercise as I would like, but with the unpredictability of my illness, it’s the best I can do. This is a lifestyle challenge, not a die-hard fitness challenge.

It has been a wonderful month, and I have to go to my best friend’s wedding tomorrow. I’m really excited and I think that I look great!! This morning I woke up early and did a circuit workout in my own apartment using hand weights and reps. I love being resourceful. So, below is a picture of me from over a month ago, and a picture of me now put side to side. I’m wearing the same clothes for the best comparison LOL! I can see a difference, can you?? I’m hoping to see more changes in another month. it’s awesome to know I can change! What is your experience with your own personal fitness goals?

Back in Action

So, I have to go to my best friend’s wedding in about a month and a half (Yay!). This gives me just enough time to make some positive changes. My health is better this week so far, and I am hoping that I will be able to maintain a good diet, and work out enough. Tomorrow is a work-out day, but today is a quinoa for lunch day! I will not lie, I ate a lot of junk over the holiday. It was great, I don’t hate myself. Well, maybe a little bit. But I have just enough time to look super-hot for this wedding!! Sometimes I need events like this to help me stay motivated. I’m planning gym days tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday. It’s going to happen!

On a side note, I consider dancing to be a workout. Last Thursday I went to a party with my friends and danced for 5 hours! It’s not only FUN, but it’s great for the thighs and butt! I count that as a work out!! I didn’t drink any alcohol or binge eat at 3AM, so there were NO calories consumed. Here is a picture of me and one of my friends. I was SOOO Happy!!

Can’t wait to post some work out pics!! xoxoxo

The Present!

I started this new (and old, familiar) diet and exercise overhaul on Monday, July 29th, 2013. Below is a picture of me I took on that day (please ignore the fact that I am wearing no makeup, and that my hair is now a different color :-P). I am not (super) delusional. I am aware that this is a pretty good start, and I am not overweight. My goal, however, is to lower my body fat percentage, and strengthen my body. Everyone’s fitness goals are different, and you should do what makes you happy! I am aiming for more defined muscles and more energy!
